What is Antiquing Paint?
Antiquing paint is applied over an acrylic base coat and wiped to create worn, layered effects. It has a semi-matte finish and is semi-opaque to reveal the base underneath. Non-toxic and compliant with CE & EN 71 standards, it's safe and easy to use.
How to Apply
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and painted.
Shake well before use; optionally mix with Glazing Medium for a thinner texture.
Apply with a brush or graining tool.
Wipe off excess with a damp cloth to achieve desired texture.
Allow natural drying or use warm air at a distance.
Drying time: 3–6 hours. Finish with a suitable varnish for added protection.
Where Can It Be Used?
Suitable for wood, MDF, canvas, plaster, foam, resin, wax, walls, fabric, leather, ceramic, porcelain, metal, polymer clay, watercolor paper and more. Works best on acrylic-painted surfaces.
